This summer the Men in Black franchise returns on theatres with a spin-off that will see Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson as the new agents who will be dealing with alien forces.

The Men in Black’s suits are certainly the most iconic garments of the saga, so when famous British designer Paul Smith was appointed for the creation of the 140 dresses for the cast of the upcoming film, he welcomed the challenge.

Together with the costume designer Penny Rose, Paul Smith has created tailor-made clothes for the main actors and for the entire cast of the new Men in Black International, signing his first collaboration with a movie production.

Although all the outfits needed were all black (of course), the designer hasn’t given up on colours, a distinctive element of his style. The suits tailored in the iconic Paul Smith’s “A Suit To Travel In” wool cloth, which is naturally crease resistant and breathable, were indeed realized with a coloured lining. To complete the look, a pair of striped socks that gives an irreverent touch to the new MIBs unit.

In addition to the cast costumes, the designer has also decided to launch a retail collection inspired by the film, which will be appreciated not only by the fans of the saga.
Launched in stores two days ago, the line includes suits, shirts, cufflinks, “monstrous” hoodies, leather accessories, socks and ties, all with prices ranging between 50 and 1,400 euros.

To be a real Man in Black however, the iconic sunglasses can’t be missing. The task has been entrusted to Police, a brand of De Rigo group.
The model SPL872, created exclusively for the film, will be the official eyewear of the Sony Pictures’ film Men in Black: International.

The shades worn by the Men in Black agents will be also available to consumers and will come with a customised Men in Black case in four colourways.
