Pull & Bear and Tate: sustainable fashion blended with art

An increasing number of brands understand the importance of the encounter between fashion and art, whether it is modern and contemporary, or it is impressionism, baroque and/or other currents. Just think about Yves Saint Laurent with Mondrian, then with Van Gogh, or Jeff Koons and Louis Vuitton, or the recent Vans collection with MoMA.

Pull & Bear seems used to it. In June, the retailer launched a streetwear-pop Smiley collection borrowing the expressionist, impressionist, classical and baroque art of Van Gogh, Monet, Vermeer and Michelangelo.
Today Pull & Bear is paying another tribute to art, through a streetwear featuring the paintings and prints of the most famous artists of modern and contemporary art in collaboration with London’s Tate Modern.

The selected works, exhibited at the Tate Modern, are among the most recognised masterpieces of artists such as Piet Mondrian, JMW Turner, Wassily Kandinsky, William Blake and Kurt Schwitters.

The capsule collection – down jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and accessories such as bags, hats, socks and scarves, fully reflects the streetwear style of Pull & Bear, with the addition of an explosion of colors and suprising patterns.

The entire collection is made with sustainable techniques and environmentally friendly materials, and are marketed under the ‘Join Life’ label, Pull&Bear’s green segment.
