LeSportsac, the lifestyle brand of casual nylon bags founded in 1974, now part of VF Corporation, collaborates often with like-minded brands, producing a number of limited edition collections to continue to expand its awareness to a whole new generation.
Coca Cola, Tokidoki, Hello Kitty, to name just the recent cases, are some of the partners chosen by LeSportsac from global fashion houses to iconic artists and characters.
While the Pokemon x LeSportsac is globally available, in Japan the bags brand is launching a collaboration with the world-famous Dutch picture book writer and graphic designer Dick Bruna.
Although Dick Bruna is mostly renowned for its iconic “Miffy”, a staple in the collaborations scene especially in Japan and Korea, this release is actually Bruna x LeSportsac, because Miffy is paralleled by “Black Bear” an early work of the Dutch writer.
Thirty items among which bags, pouches, backpacks, wallets with prints featuring both stories will be available in the Japanese market from 20th May, a range where the cuteness of Dick Bruna’s original designs give a touch of colour.
