Taco Bell, the famous Tex-Mex fast-food chain part of Yum! Brands group, will open its first resort in an exclusive location in Palm Springs, California.

With over 7,000 restaurants in the United States and over 300 in other 26 countries including Canada, Korea, Cyprus, India, Japan, Ecuador, UK and Spain, Taco Bell is one of the most famous fast-food brands.

Yum! Brands, owner of other famous restaurant chains including Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut, wants to offer its passionate consumers a flavour-filled Taco Bell brand experience.
Reservations will open starting next June on the dedicated website tacobell.com/the-bell-hotel, while the resort will officially open its doors on August 9th for a limited time. Everything from guest rooms to breakfast and poolside cocktails will be infused with a Taco Bell twist.

Marisa Thalberg, Chief Brand Officer of Taco Bell, said this hotel will bring something entirely new for lucky fans to experience and enjoy, but the brand also intends for it to be an “unparalleled experience,” so they opted to house The Bell – the name chosen for the hotel- in a fully operational hotel. The Bell stands to be the biggest expression of the Taco Bell lifestyle to date, filled with fun, colours and flavours.

Thalberg also added that she always considered Taco Bell the “fast fashion of food”, with its everyday classics along with cool limited-edition experiences that offer something new and different, including wedding customers in a Taco Bell-themed ceremony at its Las Vegas Cantina flagship location or a teamed capsule collection with fast-fashion retailer Forever 21.

The resort will also host a gift shop with exclusive Taco Bell-themed apparel and an on-site salon with Taco Bell-inspired nail art and hair styling services, with more than what fans might expect.

Taco Bell hotel is certainly an interesting case, but it is not the only project of this kind. Limited-edition branded hotels seem to be the hot trend of the moment, as well as an interesting marketing tool to offer an “immersive brand experience” to customers.
Recently indeed, was announced the opening (for a limited period of time) of the first Trivial Pursuit Hotel in the Fresh Wind Spa Hotel near Moscow. Lucky customers will be able to pay for everything by answering questions. A dream for all the quiz games’ fans. The project is the result of the collaboration between Hasbro and the Moscow branch of the advertising agency Leo Burnette.
