Since its creation in 1895, Berluti made craftsmanship its very center, reinvent the rules of style. This spring, Sotheby’s will host an exclusive online auction celebrating Berluti’s unique savoir-faire, open for bidding from 24 April until 7 May. “Berluti: The Art of Craftsmanship” presents an amazing selection of bespoke pieces, from a sport car and motorcycle to a range of watches, all featuring the brand’s emblematic Venezia leather and its famous patina.
The 14-lot sale is spearheaded by a one-of-a-kind Porsche 911 Targa 2.4L, whose interior has been fully customised with Berluti leather, paralleled by a Triumph Bonneville T120 customized for Berluti by the French Mecatin workshop. Other highlights include a luxury watch -a unique piece of Hublot Classic Fusion Berluti 45 mm, and other items, like a leather football signed by stars Didier Drogba and Paul Pogba and super-model and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova, proposed together with a signed leather backpack and a pair of sneakers, the proceeds from which will be donated to Charity: Water – a non-profit organistion which provides drinking water to people in developing countries.
