Carnaby street celebrates ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and Queen. For the launch of the upcoming Fox movie, a dedicated light installation turns up, while Bravado, Universal Music Group’s company managing the merchandising and licensing rights for Queen, together with Fox and landlords Shaftesbury, open a pop up store which will stay for the season until January 4th.

An immersive retail experience, halfway between a museum shop and a temple, the store will extend the moviegoers and fans’ appetite hosting official Queen merchandise and special apparel collections, rarities and memorabilia, along with delicacies like Monopoly Queen Edition, or a special Queen crest featured limited edition by Bamford Watch Dept.

Freddie Mercury’s famous Madame Tussauds figure is there for selfies and photo opportunities, Manuela Gray, Queen band member Roger Taylor’s favourite tattoo artist, and a grooming station by Hawkins & Brimble are other ingredients of this pop up store.

Merchandising such as t-shirts, caps, mugs, tote bags and sweatshirts will be of course the leaders of the pack; Bravado managed to design some new concepts, all featuring the Queen crest, and replicas of the most popular tour t-shirts, including the robot from “News of the World” album and the pharaoh from the 1984 European tour.

Freddy would be honored to know that for Queen’s sake, retail, movie entertainment, music business, and tourism industries can sing the same tune.
