PUMA and Barbie announce their collaboration

At PUMA, the celebration of the fifty years anniversary of the iconic Suede sneaker goes on with collaborations, and a few weeks after announcing the partnership with the beauty behemoth M.A.C., another partner in next in line: Barbie.

Barbie is turning 60 next year, but beyond that, it is surely her iconic value and her fashion coté which appealed PUMA towards this partnership.

Black suede and vibrant pink are featuring this model, with an all-over signature Barbie logo matching the Puma side strike, all enriched by a bow on the heel.

As reported by WWD, the range will be paralleled with an apparel collection.

“Barbie is a really exciting canvas for brands to play with and we love our partnerships and we love working with partners and PUMA represents a really exciting, iconic brand similar to Barbie,” said Lisa McKnight to WWD senior vice president and general manager of Mattel Inc.’s Barbie.
