‘Evergreen’ seems to be a key point in Uniqlo’s strategy, the Japanese casualwear brand which took USA and Europe by storm and will soon in Italy as well.
In fact, as opposed to the competitors Zara and H & M, Uniqlo doesn’t follow the fashion hypes, but proposes casual and essential clothes that survive over time: true and authentic – ‘evergreen’.
So what better than the reinterpretation of a classic? Uniqlo has just launched a collaboration project with Disney called MAGIC FOR ALL, consisting of three different collection lines, with styles for all ages.
For the third and final line, Uniqlo invited 100 of Disney’s top creative minds to re-imagine Mickey Mouse like an ironic, pop and contemporary charater.
Mickey is a real global icon, one of the absolute favorite characters, especially appreciated by adults. This makes it one of the most popular pop culture elements in fashion and a great source of inspiration for designers and artists.
Combining the most iconic Mickey pose with its comfortable and high-quality products, Uniqlo affirms itslef as a pop art ambassador on the mass market scene, as witnessed by many previous iconic collaborations.
