Illustrator, photographer, creator of unforgettable images and creative concepts like the slave-to-the-rhythm Grace Jones, the edgy Chanel Nº 5 advertising or even choreography for the French Revolution’s bicentennial, Jean-Paul Goude embodies the paradigm of the creative director in full.
With a role of creative director through a multi faceted artistic partnership, this legendary artist starts his collaboration with the Barcelona-based Desigual.
Goude will join the company as an artistic director, consulting on every aspect of Desigual’s brand image—from product design to marketing efforts to industry-facing events.
His debut will be unveiled at New York Fashion Week on September 7th, where beyond his creative direction, a first capsule collection of signature womenswear will be revealed.
The fashion show will serve to demonstrate Goude’s overall creative involvement with the brand, and act as an introduction for his continued collaborative role beyond the Spring/Summer 2018 season window.
Desigual is a lifestyle brand known for its values of creativity, optimism and differentiation, each of which are translated into unique designs. With more than 4,600 employees, Desigual is currently present in around 100 countries, holding more than 500 of its own stores and stocked at top multi-brand point of sales, department stores and digital e-tailers.
With Desigual divisions ranging from womens, men’s and kid’s, plus its directly managed brand extension into accessories, shoes, home, sports and beauty, Goude will not get bored.
