The dreamlike world of Wonderland continues to be an inspiration to designers, who bring to life – in the most whimsical and fashionable ways – to every clothing or accessory item that can be imagined from the classic novel’s characters, details and phrases.
With the release of Alice Through the Looking Glass looming (the second instalment in Disney’s most recent incarnation) many brands and designers have rallied around the classic story with stylish collaborations. We hereby present you with some of the “curiouser” projects to be announced.
We begin with the long-lasting partnership between Disney and OPI, who a few days ago released an Alice-inspired collection of nail polish. Drawing inspiration from the film’s mad, crazy, wonderful characters, the collection brings eight new, limited edition shades, each available in both lacquer and GelColor formulas.

Still on the subject of make-up, Urban Decay has created an ‘Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows’ palette, taking the color schemes of the movie’s characters, and using them to create a limited edition range of lipsticks.

Any lover of Lewis Carroll’s classic can indulge herself with shoes, from high heels to super-flats, and clutches. The only dilemma is to decide if you want to be the ‘Queen of Hearts’ or ‘Alice’. From Marc Jacobs to Call It Spring and Robert Clergerie, anyone can choose the piece that best fits her own style.

Even more interesting is the jewelry collection created by James Bank Designs. Several pieces are inspired by elements like Time’s gears, and the crowns of the Red and White Queens.

Last – for the moment – but not least, a 7-piece capsule collection by Los Angeles-based fashion house, Thomas Wylde, unveiled three looks during the New York Fashion Week. Inspired by the White Queen, Red Queen, and Time, they reinterpret the film’s iconic costume design into modern, wearable outfits.
